Did you know that I'm going to be in Toronto (well, at a hotel in Mississauga) at the beginning of October for the Northern Rainbow Romance Retreat and Author Signing?
I'm going back and forth between being nervous and excited as it's been a long time since I've attended an author/reader convention. I'll also be travelling alone, which I'm not used to as I'm usually with my family or at least my husband. I'm hoping it will be refreshing to be on my own, as it was when I used to travel to Toronto to visit my brother in my twenties.
I'm feeling a bit crummy physically today as I went and got a Covid booster yesterday, but mentally I'm happy to know that I will be as protected as possible from that particular virus while I'm at the convention. I haven't had one since last fall. I should still be able to get the updated vaccine at the end of November as they are recommending at least 3 months between boosters.
I have all the stiff I will need for the convention, including the paperbacks I'll be selling, which are currently being stored at my brother's place in downtown Toronto. I also bought a custom table runner, lots of fun swag and items for a raffle, and a small, mirrored, AE Lister sign that is coming all the way from Ankara, Turkiye, through an Etsy store that had excellent reviews and a very good price.
Reader tickets for this event are going fast, so if you haven't got yours yet, I encourage you to check out the various options for readers.
I'm hoping to see some of you in Toronto in early October!
